Introduction

Railway Design Management was formed in 1996 to provide a design management service to the railway industry. The main emphasis is on signalling design, signalling control centres, safety assurance and the application of new technologies.

Railway Design Management has undertaken assignments in both North America, South America, Portugal and Germany for several clients.

Railway Design Managements philosophy is one of working with both customers and stakeholders to arrive at a solution that meets customer requirements and stakeholder aspirations.

Our processes considers safety to be the dominating factor in all decisions. Directly linked to this and influencing safety are human factors and ergonomic issues, operability, reliability and maintainability issues. Therefore all decisions should consider these issues, undertaking hazard analysis and human factors studies where necessary.
